The three F’s are:
-
Fix it
-
Fake it
-
F–k it*
These represent your primary options when faced with a new requirement or bug in the course of a hard-pressed IT project. You can:
- Deem the issue is important enough to address head on and outright fix
- Decide this is a superficial request, and give a like facsimile of a working solution in a fraction of the time (and potentially fix at a later date)
- Deem the request entirely unworthy of attention at present time, and ignore all mentions of said issue.
Term coined originally by Stephen Goddard.
* Term 3 is toned down to PG level.
